Nussbaumer & Clarke, Inc. led the design and revitalization of the Hamburg Village Central Hub, transforming an aging municipal parking lot into a vibrant, multifunctional public space in the heart of downtown Hamburg. The $1.55 million project included expanded parking, improved traffic circulation, EV charging stations, stormwater infrastructure upgrades, and a new performing arts plaza connected to Peace Park.
Designed with sustainability and long-term value in mind, the project incorporated hydronic heated walkways, native landscaping, and permeable paving materials to improve durability, reduce maintenance, and enhance the visitor experience. Our team worked closely with municipal departments, local businesses, and community stakeholders to maintain access during phased construction and successfully coordinate state and federal funding sources.
