Christopher Freese has over 20 years of experience in construction services management, overseeing projects of varying size and complexity. Since joining Nussbaumer in 2023, he has played a key role in further developing our Construction Services department, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design intent. Chris’s hands-on approach and field expertise help deliver successful outcomes from construction through completion.

What drew you to this industry / to your role?

I started in this industry 28 years ago as a Rod Man on a Survey Crew. I surveyed for consultants for about 13 years. I then had the opportunity to Survey for a General Contractor. That chance sent me to another General Contractor, which had me travel around the country working on Sports Arenas, which brought me to Buffalo to build the Harbor Center. I stepped into a Superintendent Role for the next 4 years and ultimately into Construction Services Management. I love seeing things being built and knowing that I had a part in that. It is a sense of fulfilment like no other.

Is there a personal accomplishment you're especially proud of?

I spent 2 years as a Big Brother when I lived in Omaha, NE. I think I learned more about myself from my Little Brother, than I taught him.
