WHY DID I GO INTO MY PROFESSION?

I started because I needed to work and I knew it was available. I didn't have any experience, but I like variety and being outdoors. I stuck with it because it (surveying) seems to make sense to me and I have a knack for it. I still study what I can about boundary law and determinations even though I've been licensed for 17 years.

IF I COULD DO ANYTHING ELSE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Realistically, I would be working in something medical and community involved. My biggest preference would be working with people with special needs. There's a whole world there that is hidden to most.

WHAT IS MY FAVORITE ____?

My favorite historical figures are ones that carry on to do what is necessary without trying to steal the show. Ben Franklin is the one I tend to read up on a lot. He did so much with good humor and without trying to be the center of attention. Also, the first responders who were in 911, are an inspiration still. What do you do when your world is crumbling around you? You keep going and do what you came to do is only one small part of what they did.
