Sturgeon Point Raw Water Pump Station Improvements

The Sturgeon Point Raw Water Pump Station Improvement project received the NY ACEC 2019 Engineering Excellence Silver Award.  The project consisted of engineering design and construction services for improvements at the Sturgeon Point Raw Water Pump Station, including travelling screens, new/modified screening collection removal system, frazil ice control, building ventilation system, pump discharge piping including 30-inch tilting disc check valves and butterfly valves, refurbishment of the 48-inch header, replacement of the pump motor controllers with VFDs, and replacement of a portion of the 42-inch transmission main.
